Effective 19 August 2026 · Better Belly ("the app")

The short version

Your food and symptom logs live on your device. We don't run ads, we don't use third-party analytics, and we never track you across apps or websites.

Data stored on your device

Meal logs, symptom check-ins, grocery lists, saved items, preferences, profile photos, and any meal photos you attach are stored locally on your device. You can export app data as a JSON file or delete local app data at any time from Settings.

Accounts, feedback, and cloud storage

Better Belly does not require a named account. If you choose account backup or restore, your profile, preferences, favourites, collections, custom foods, meal and symptom logs, notes, grocery items, and recent searches are stored with Supabase so they can follow you across devices. Selected photos remain on your device.

If you send in-app feedback, we send an anonymous support identifier, feedback category, message, device platform, and app version to Supabase. This lets support read and reply to your message. Feedback is rate-limited and is not displayed publicly.

What we never collect

• No advertising identifiers and no cross-app tracking
• No third-party analytics or ad SDKs
• No contacts, location, or browsing data

Permissions

Camera and photo library access are requested only when you choose to attach a meal photo or scan a label. Notifications are sent only if you enable reminders.

Changes & contact
